My favourite game-day recipe! The result is a gorgeous platter that is super cheesy, and hearty – your guests will love it! Better than any bar food and only takes minutes to prepare! My secret to perfect nachos is in the layering, that way all the nachos are well coated with toppings not just those on the top! You can serve these nachos with sour cream, guacamole and salsa on the side if you like.

Agua de Tamarindo - Tamarind Water

This is a classic drink served on the streets of Mexico. If you like things sweeter, double up on the sugar since tamarind makes this drink pretty tart. I however, love the sourness of it! This drink is just so refreshing and delicious served on a summer’s eve, or as a signature cocktail to serve with tacos to make a real Mexican Fiesta!

Quick Mexican Breakfast Scramble

A breakfast scramble is like an omelette that is all mashed up! I actually prefer a scramble to an omelette because it feels more casual and comforting. Another great thing about it, is that you don’t have to be a chef to make a scramble – just mash everything together and there you have breakfast!

Sweet Potato - Chipotle Latkes

This is my personal spin on a classic appetizer for the Jewish festival of Hannukah. Traditionally these fried treats are made with potatoes, here I paired sweet potatoes with chipotle peppers. It just elevates these potato pancakes to a whole other level!

Soft Tacos Stuffed With Lemony Tofu and Avocado

These tacos are so addictive! They taste like something you would get at a beach side restaurant – the tofu is crispy and lemony with the creamy avocado and crunchy coleslaw on top. You have to try them!

Mexican Taco Salad

This is a really fun and filling dinner salad, and each person gets their own taco bowl! It may seem daunting since there are a lot of individual steps, but they come together fairly quickly and you can always prepare the individual components in advance and just assemble at the last minute.


Guacamole is a Mexican avocado based dip. While there are so many guacamole recipes out there this, to me is the only one! Made with fresh avocados, jalepenos, onion, lime and cilantro - there is no other way!
