Grilled Oyster Mushrooms -

Although oyster mushrooms can be pricey, they are well worth it. They have so much great flavour and texture. This dish is very simple, but makes a lovely side dish. It can also be served with some grilled peppers and onions as an antipasti salad.

  • 10 Oyster Mushrooms, Washed and Halved
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • Zest and Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 1 Tsp. Dried Oregano
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 Cup Olive oil


  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl except for the lemon juice, making sure to coat the mushrooms with all the seasonings.
  2. Place the mushrooms on a very hot grill pan, or barbecue pressing down slightly with a spatula. Cook for about 2 minutes per side. As soon as the mushrooms come off the grill, squirt some lemon juice over them.
  3. Serve immediately.
